Shanna joined The Swanson Insurance Group in 2020 and followed into crop insurance in 2023. Shanna helps to manage both companies for Luke. She has nearly 9 years of experience working in the insurance industry as an Account Manager and Producer. Shanna has experience across the industry and is particularly excited to work with our farm and commercial clients.  Shanna has always had a passion for helping people and was able to do that early on in her career as a Mortgage Broker in the Seattle area. After 10 years as a broker, she transitioned into a retail management position with Kroger Company. She spent 10 years at Kroger, honing her leadership and communication skills. She also met (and married) her husband Kyle, moved to the Columbia Gorge and fully transitioned to rural life. Shanna and Kyle have built a ranch on 50 acres and couldn’t be happier living in the wilderness!

 

Shanna is extremely passionate about horses and spends most of her free time riding. She grew up in the saddle and has been riding and showing horses her entire life. She enjoys competing in many different disciplines and even spent some time training horses when she was young. Shanna also devoted to sharing her knowledge with youth and spent some time leading a 4-H group when her daughter was young. Currently she owns two horses and is focusing her efforts on a young reined cow horse and has some big goals for competing in the future!  When she’s not riding, Shanna cherishes time spent with her family, especially with her first grandchild. She loves to be outdoors and spends her free time outside as much as possible, experiencing all the Pacific Northwest has to offer, usually on the back of a horse, ATV or motorcycle.
